Refrigerator Moving Advice

Moving refrigerators can be a challenge because they’re bulky, but also when unplugged, they harbor the perfect breeding grounds for mold. To avoid such blunders, follow these steps: Remove all food and drawers, thoroughly clean drawers with soapy water. Clean inside the freezer and fridge using a couple teaspoons of baking soda per quart of water. Make sure to dry both thoroughly after wash. Shut off appliance 48 hours before moving, remove water filter and secure it for transit.  Leave doors open for at least 24 hours before moving. Keep a box of baking soda inside fridge and freezer to ensure there is no moisture build up while doors are closed.
